Notting Hill Up to 40 youths pelted police officers with bottles,
bricks and debris in an attack that lasted two hours and marred the end of
the Notting Hill Carnival. At least two officers were hurt. One was hit in
the face by a broken bottle. Police in protective gear had to be deployed to
Ladbroke Grove, West London, to help uniformed officers when they came under
attack.
